Outlook 2000 upgrade to XP problems

I just upgraded to XP Home and my Outlook 2000 no longer
works. I get the error OMINT.DLL not found and it tell me
to DETECT AND REPAIR. But I cannot find that anywhere. I
try to uninstall it from Add/Remove programs, but Outlook
or Office is not there. I tried to use the Setup pgm on my
original disk, but it says it cannot be run. I have the SR-
1 patch but I can't seem to remove that either!! I am
starting to go nuts here. Can someone help me with this?
Also, if I am able to somehow uninstall Outlook, don't I
need to save my .pst file somewhere? Thanks very much in
advance for any help!

Detect and Repair is located under the help menu, but you
need to access Outlook to do this. If possible it would be
easier to format the HDD, or system partition and i would
do a clean install of XP Home. Your *.pst file by default
is lcated in C:\documents and settings\username\local
settings\application data\Microsoft\Outlook\*.pst Backup
this to a seperate Partition, CD Etc, format the partition
to NTFS, it's a far better file system and you get the
added bonus of Security. Then you can reinstall office,
put your *.pst file back and you should be back on board.
Hope this helps
