Outlook 2000 - Receiving Emails

Lately, I have started to receive emails even though I have not logged
in to my Outlook 2000. It never did this before, it only received if
and when I was logged in. When it does this, it puts the little yellow
envelope icon in my systems tray to show that I have unread emails, but
then when I log in and open those emails, the little yellow envelope
does not go away. Can anyone tell me if there are any adjustments to
stop Outlook 2000 from receiving emails when I'm not logged in>?

More likely OL is not closing completely, check running processes next time
you think you closed OL

Task Manager > Processes tab
