Outlook 2000 Profiles Problem

I am having a problem where Outlook, from time to time,
will not offer me the option of selecting a profile when
starting up. It will open the last used profile every
time. The only way to gain access to the select profile
option at start up is to reboot. This is happening on
both my desktop and laptop. Does anyone know what causes
this? I am even using the /profiles switch in the
shortcut command line.
