Can't switch profiles in MS Outlook.

Hi,

I created a second profile in MS Outlook, then I went to the Control Panel,
dbl-clicked on Mail ( I have Win XP), chose the new profile with the option
to "always use this profile".

When I open Outlook, it doesn't switch to the new profile, it goes to the
old one. Any advice?

Also, can you list the steps for backing up the email and restoring it?
Thanks in advance.

Encure Outlook has completely exited when you close it. Check Task Manager or use this little utility: http://www.sunflowerhead.com - Knockout.

To backup your Outlook data, close Outlook completely (see above) and copy the .pst file to your backup media.
