Outlook 2000 no longer runs

I have been running XP Home Edition and the Office 2000 Pro suite for some
years. I keep them updated.

This may not be related, but one morning recently I had an alert that an MS
auto update had been installed and my computer had been restarted. The
computer was hung and I had to reboot.

Since then, I have not been able to launch Outlook 2000.

Attempts to launch Outlook 2000 usually results in an "out of virtual
memory, making it bigger" (not exactly those words, but it is the baloon
from the task bar). I also note that on the splash screen the serial
number(?) and product ID are garbage, although my name is correct. This is
also true in other Office Apps splash screens.

The other Offuce apps all launch and run ok.

I have removed and reinstalled Office, with and without updating it, to no
avail.

Eventually Outlook usually closes down during launch.

I have looked here and in MS KB but have not found a solution.

I have run Registry Mechanic and Error Nuker.

I use ZoneAlarm and CA EZ Trust Anti-virus.

Did you increase the vitual memory on the system? Outlook may require more
resources then other programs.

The program will have problem launching if it does not have the necessary
resources.

Once you do that do a detect and repair on the program and also make sure
that all updates are ran on Windows and Office.
