Outlook 2000 locks up when closing

We're running Windows XP SP2 and Outlook 2000. Windows and office have the
latest updates. When user closes outlook, outlook locks up and ctrl-alt-del
must be used to get Outlook to close. Could this be spyware? Any ideas on
how to stop this from happening? Thanks.
