Outlook 2000 does not automatically show new email

When using Outlook 2000 with an Exchange account (not roaming), I have two
users whose email does not show up until they either double-click on their
inbox or go into another folder and then go back to the inbox. Any help would
be most appreciated.

common problem caused by windows firewall. go into firewall settings and
make an exception for program outlook.exe
