Set "From" field depending on inbox view

Hi. I have multiple email accounts... One exchange account and two IMAP
accounts, all on the same profile. For the most part, everything works out
very well.

However, some times I mess up and send email from the wrong account (the
default account). Generally, when I create a new mail I am looking at the
inbox that I want the email to come from. Is there a way to setup outlook so
that when I create a new mail, it automatically sets the "From" field to the
account whose inbox I am looking at when I hit "New Mail"?

No because inboxes are independent of email accounts that are used to send
messages from. All inboxes are is a DELIVERY location. And secondly the
"from" field is only used in an exchange environment where you are sending
emails on behalf of someone else.
