Outlook 2000/2002 rules ---> 2003 problem

Hi,

Ok- 2002 has .pst file that we imported to 2003- and we exported rules from
2002 as well (we have LOTS of folders/subfolders/rules)

When we import the rules they all get disabled and all the "move to
specified" folder get reset to Inbox. it's like 2003 can't find the
destination folders even though they are there.

Any help with this issue would be GREAT- re-creating the hundreds of rules
will be a bummer.

if the folder path is not exactly the same - including the pst location
(C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook) the folder path will need to be reset. Fewer folders
and rules and more search folders should help.

Thanks.

Will resetting the folder path solve it? Also- what do you mean by search
folders?

Thanks again,

Cliff

possibly, but not guaranteed.

Outlook 2003 offers Search folders - virtual folders that display messages
based on specific criteria. flag for follow up and Unread are two popular
ones that are usually in the Favorites folder list - more are shown at the
bottom of the pst and you can create more.

How would more search folders help fix the rules? Thanks
