OUTLOOK `07 .. Corrupt Files - Can't Access ...

Greetings,
I just purchased a new laptop due to problems with the old laptop. I was
able to burn my docs, etc. and transfer them to the new PC, however, I've
been having a
problem with my .pst file as I get error messages when I tried to copy it to
another
folder so I could then transfer it to the new PC.

I tried to use the the scanpst.exe tool and I get an error message when it
reaches
about 20% initialization.

Now, when I attempt to access Outlook, I also get an error message that
relates to
the pst file.

I'm desperate, as I need to recover all my business email folders.

For awhile, I was able to forward groups of email from each folder to my new
PC, but again, I now cannot access Outlook `07 due to the pst reelated error
message. I was able to send about 40% of my email and the last 60% is the
MOST needed.

If scanpst cannot repair the pst, then your options are a third party pst
recovery company or your backups, which I guess you dont have.

Unless the pst is not closed, ie outlook has exited completely, and any
third party app is no longer accessing the pst, then you should not have any
problem copying it.
