Archive Folder Corrupted?

Using Outlook 2003

One PST folder seems to be corrupted. It shows 0 kb of info and gives an
error message about no being a "personal folder". We have tried to run
scanpst.exe and several other PST recovery utilities to no avail.

Does anyone have any other ideas???

We're desperate as this is a project archive folder containing all project
emails for 2008 -thousands and thousands of emails!

Thanks for any thoughts you can share!

Is this size reported in Explorer or within Outlook?
If in Explorer, then you are out of luck when it comes to Outlook solutions
as a 0KB file is an empty file. You'll have to look at disk-level recovery
tools or simply restore from backup.

I had a bad feeling that was the answer. Was worth a shot.

Turns out he hasn't been backing them up and the system restore on his
machine had been disabled.

Thanks anyway!

Ouch! Note that it will require Previous Versions (Windows Vista) to recover
deleted data files and not System Restore. Of course external backups are
even better in case something happens with the disk or even the entire
system.
This might have been a hard less but good luck if you are going to try any
other solution!
