outgoing emails automatically entered into contacts

Everytime I reply to an email the person is automatically added to my
contacts- I dont want this to occur but have been unable to determine how to
stop it. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Forward your email to the person and it will not be put into your contacts
 
It is in Tools | Options | Send | "Automatically put people I reply to in my
Contacts list".

It is on by default, a setting that contributes significantly to several
problems, including spam from virus-infected computers and the slowness of
Vista's "Windows Contacts".
 
Thanks for the suggestion I would rather reply and not forward where I have
to enter their email address- Idf there is an option to turn it off anyone
is aware of I would appreciate feedback.
 
you need to go to tools then options then send and uncheck the automatically
put people i reply to in my contact list button.
