IMO one of the best things about uTorrent is the *ease* of use. KISS!!!

Now that we're all experts ;) ISTM that uTorrent will come in handy when
someone requests a file in ACF. Instead of uploading or emailing the
file itself we can create and email (or upload) a much smaller torrent
file. (If someone doesn't have an "always on" connection they can tell
people when they'll be on-line.)

Ditto for sharing files and photos with family and friends. One more way
to do that, another weapon in the arsenal. . . :)

Sounds good :-)

BTW: Is the demand for the 2006 PL CD in demise? There has not been much
uploading of it from me the last 24 hours?

I'am now downloading Alias season 5 episodes - big thanks to the person
who suggested use of torrents for the PL CD ;-)

Note: I do own all four seasons on DVD and will buy season 5 when it's
available. Just to set the record straight :-)

regards from

The big ACF rush seems to be pretty well over. Casual visitors to the
Pricelessware site probably won't find the PL2006 CD page till after the
first of the year when the 2006 PL becomes "official".

There's been a small but steady demand for the PL2005 CD. I expect that
will be true for the PL2006 one too (copies of the CD, download links
AND the bit torrent).

erm. . . unless we get slash-dotted - then all bets are off. ;)

How is that process easier than uploading the file to a remote storage

We are really giving our best so everyone has the possibility to
download the files for free. Unfortunately the Internet is extremely
variable here and there. So we only reach our goal in 99% of all
cases.
For example there are millions of users with the same IP-address
online. So we decided to introduce the RapidShare Happy-Hours. In this
time, everyone may download as much as you want. No limits, no
restrictions. Even download-accelerators work and parallel downloads
as well of course! Premium-Users, who download in this time, are of
course NOT charged in any way to keep this feature on a fair level.
Right now our RapidShare Happy-Hours are from 03:00 CET to 05:00 CET"

Does uTorrent have all the features of other BitTorrent clients, like
bandwidth limiting?

Try it and see for yourself. Creating and emailing a torrent is easier
and faster than uploading a file. That said, sometimes another method of
file sharing may be preferrable for *other* reasons. . .

Large files can be too big for many remote storage services. Also,
some people prefer the privacy of limited peer to peer setups.

What concerned me was the fact that you must keep your computer on and
your hard drive open to the Internet for the duration of the
transfer(s). The *other* method allows you to upload and leave.
