Its me obviously

I recently got a new computer with windows vista home premium pre-
installed. I am now having problems with certain video clips. When I play
them the images are all wrong in terms of aspect ratio for example the
faces are only half shown or are too close to the screen. Then when you
close the clip an error pops up saying 'windows host process rundll32 has
stopped working' There is then a report generated that states that the
problems were caused by intel viiv software update for HP. The thing is i
have updated the viiv software but am still getting these errors and its
driving me mad. Please help or direct me somewhere that I can get help

TIA

Not very helpful I must say. Anyway to answer you question the reason I
didn't post in a vista group is because I couldn't find any on usenet.

Unfortunately my newsserver (news.blueyonder.co.uk) does not carry any of
those groups. Pity though they would have been helpful I think.

In Outlook Express go to Tools | Accounts | Add (or New) | News.
Set up an account for this news server:

msnews.microsoft.com

The server is free and does not require you to logon. This news server
carries over 2200 newsgroups related to Microsoft products and keeps
messages at least 30 days.

For more detail see

And here are two articles Tom Koch wrote about using newsgroups in Outlook
Express:
