Catch 22?
I have a hp m7630.uk media center pc,the hp website states to uninstall the
viiv software before upgrading to vista.
i did not uninstall it before upgrading.
after the upgrade in intels wisdom they have a file upgrade to 1.6 which
works with vista BUT you have to have the 1.5 file or higher already
installed.
the 1.5 file or higher will only work in windows media center roll up 2 so
wont work in vista and hp stated to delete the viiv software beforehand.
question:-is it possible to install viiv software to a vista hp machine or
not.
OR do i have to wait for hp and intel to sort themselves out and produce a
file which will install.
despite trying to remove the intel software after the upgrade it will not
uninstall,iv`e even tried the microsoft site which "supposedly" has a
solution.no way will any of their ideas work.
so does any-one know how to uninstall this ,if you click on it in add/remove
progs ,it just gives 2 options ,uninstall or repair.tried both but a box
comes up stating this will only run on xp media center.
