windows media center shuts down

every time I start windows media center and viiv I get the following message
after a few seconds "Media Center has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close
the program and notify you if a solution is available. "
I use vista home premium.
I do not use any shortcut to open the program.
any help with this problem will be appreciated.

Here is a shot in the dark since you did not send any system spec's software
version ect.

I had the same problem with media center after installing Nero for vista.

Thanks for your help but I solved the problem after posting here by deleting
the file mediacenterdatastore after a google search of others with the sdame
problem.
