OT? Norton Internet Security 2004

Please help if possible...tried everything including Symantec....who clearly
do not believe in "support"!

I installed this and it worked OK (after a fashion) for a few weeks, but now
has lost the parental control feature. Unfortunately without this you cannot
configure anything. I just get a message that I do not have sufficient
privileges.... I am logged on as an administrator. I have to disable it to
log on to Messenger.

It is very irritating and I am beginning to believe that this software is
not fit for purpose as it lets the most amazing spam through!

Thanks for any help.....like how to completely clean it out of the registry
asuninstalling & reinstalling does not help.

..but Parental Controls does not install.

I've tried Add/Remove change and making sure it is checked to install, but
still nothing. In NIS User Accounts I get :
You are logged in as ..my name and no further buttons and nothing where
Parental control wizard should be. When I click on Options and NIS I get
the insufficient privileges message.

Used to work OK, but now does not.

Also when I uninstall it leaves files all over the place.

Symantec support is non-existent.....I have not paid for support as I
suspect it is as good as the product!
