Apparently, should be able to individually compress a NTFS folder in xp
office via File>New Compressed Folder and should subsequently be able to
password protect said compressed folder via selection and then File>Add
Password. Don't seem to have these options on my build - can this be
configured ?

TIA

Office XP is a suite of applications. Which one are you referring to for these
features?

Confused here, post refers to Windows XP (office edition) not any variant of
microsoft office.

Thks

Sorry, you were right...your question is off-topic. This newsgroup addresses
issues relating to the Windows 2000 OS series. You would be better served by
posting this issue/question to a more relevant newsgroup, such as:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general

I would have but my news server doesn't serve that newsgroup for some reason

There's no such product as WinXP "Office," so one would naturally
presume that you're asking about the product you did mention, which was
Office XP.
