To the OP (sorry, Vrodok, I can't get his/her post):
I use Proxomitron for that.

Which is what I first used. Two reasons for trying
Proximodo; one was curiousity, the other (recently) when
Proxomitron kept filtering out a web-page bit & I just
could *not* find the proper setting (turns out that setting
was, more or less, identical in both apps). Un-ticked it on
both; no problems, so back to Proxomitron I went : )
If one is comfy w/ Proxomitron, do you see any reason to switch
to Proxomido at the present time?

The UI for Proximodo is rather improved (when one has
clicked upon a selection, there is a small "box" at bottom
which goes into detail about said function). However, when
running Proximodo (minimized) as a tray-icon, with "Bypass
All Filters", the tray-icon does not change its'
appearance, while Proxomitron's does (I view Proximodo's
"lack" as a severe error of programming).
It pretty much boils down to if one desires a better UI. I
wouldn't change.

I have no problem and I would think Lord Byron doesn't either;-)

Proximodo was written because Proxomitron is no longer
available. It's (Proximodo) still a work in progress.
kenny, I tried Opera a few weeks ago, but couldn't see any means of
ad-blocking. I use Mozilla browser (not FF) and find the extension Adblock
Plus, with it's stablemate Filterset.G Updater exremely effective at
blocking ads.
Does Opera have a means of doing this?
Genuine query, not a flame.
