OT: best slick optical mousing surface

Today I bought a premium nonstick surface cookie sheet for my first
optical/laser mouse. The optical mouse is slightly heavier than my
prior ball mouse, but on the cookie sheet it glides much more easily
than the old mouse on a regular mouse pad. Me like. Your mileage may
vary.

Any other very smooth operating optical mousing surfaces, store
bought or modified by you?

Ok...

He's right though, I use a Teflon cooking mat. Mice like Teflon.
 
i use leather surfaced blotting pad from ikea semicircular in shape and
about 2 feet in diameter - never had any problems with it, never fell over
the edge while fragging :-)

No. Oil is good. Coconut's nice. Tends to be thinner. Especially on an
18+ yr old.
