OSX users can not rename folders on W2K server

We have about 30% of our users on OSX. They can access
the W2K server without problems, but they can't rename
folders that are on the W2K server. They have rights to
modify rights, so they should be able to. If they move
the folder off the W2K network and onto their local OSX
machine, they can rename the folder and then replace it
on the network.

Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks

Since these are OS X clients they maybe connecting via smb and not afp. The
rights assignments are per connection method not the actual client so check
the windows client rights assignments as well in case those clients are
connecting via smb.

When you say the Windows clients rights, do you mean to
the folder? If that is the case the network accout has
been setup so that the user can modify. Also, should the
OSX clients be connecting via SMB or via AFP, and why?

Thanks

My users are still having these problems. The Access
permissions for the folders are set so users in the group
have modify permissions, but they can't rename the
folders. I believe that most users are connecting via
SMB, so the permissions that I've setup should hold, but
they are not.

Help!
