Option to rotate photos missing from dialog menu

I am running 3 platforms side by side for photo editing.
On one of the computers if I have thumbnails open, right
click, the dialog box does not give me an option to rotate
the photos. Nor does it appear in the File drop down box.

I have the files set for photos in the properties box. I
have film strip capability, I just can't rotate these guys
unless I do it one at a time in the filmstrip mode.

The other two have that function available in the
locations I have described. Any one have any idea why this
one XP unit will not give me that choice?

Please help if you can, my hair is getting thin!

Thanks!

It may just be that you lost the automatic functions that XP will perform
for jpg photo files.
Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press Enter
There is a space between ...32 and SHI...

Before you do this, place your mouse pointer over a file name or thumbnail.
A textbox will open giving the type of file, size of file etc. The first
item to be listed is dimensions in pixels. It should be like this:
Dimensions: 640 x 480 (or other numbers according to the picture size).
If this is not listed, the above command will repair this and should also
bring rotate back.
