Optimizing XP for SlingBox

Hi,

I looking to get a SlingBox but am thinking that I will need to
install WIndows XP in a VM to watch it since my laptop runs linux.

I was wondering if anyone had some advice on the best way to optimize
XP in the VM to run the most efficiently for the SlingBox. The VM
WILL BE USED FOR NOTHING EXCEPT THE SLINGBOX (no office, other
software or anything).

Thanks for any advice.

I'm sure you realize that it's the SlingViewer application that runs on
your computer, and not the SlingBox itself. As you've probably also
determined, Sling only makes viewers for PCs, MACs, and some mobile devices.

You probably will get more information from the Sling users community
than from this Windows XP newsgroup. Check out www.slingcommunity.com

I didn't look very hard, but you might start with this thread:

The emulated graphics adaptor in VPC will not support it even if you did
find a way to connect. The emulated S3Trio does not support 24bit color
depth.
