I'm having lots of problems with it. I just downloaded the latest update and
it has screwed up my original installation.

They don't tell you to remove the earlier version before installing this
latest version of v.7.0

Be careful with it. I still have version 6 on my machine and
I use it still.

One of the most hazardous and unneeded programs available, IMO.

The protection provided by KAV seems excellent, but their handling of a
long-running problem with CHKDSK has undermined the faith of many users in
the company.

I'd look elsewhere :)

I had been using v 6.0 since it came out, and up-dated to v 7.0, but it totally screwed up my machine. After numerous
times of re-installing it, I finally gave up and went back to v 6.0, which I still use. I use Trend Micro Security Suite
most of the time, but also run SM in addition.

I have used their version 3.0 for a long time and it worked well and
was easy. I should note I use Win98se. I got version 5.0 and found
it far too bloated, and offerred nothing more than the older version,
just harder to use. I have both versions still installed in separate
directories. I only use version 3. I have not run ver. 5 in over a
year. I just done like it.

Just like most software, they upgrade just to make a sale. The
program itself does the same thing, just harder to use and lots more
buttons to make it look bloated and hard to use.
