Operation failed in Outlook 2002.

Hello,

We have a strange problem when a user opens and closes an attachment
in Outlook 2002. If they leave the message open, and then try to open
the attachment again, Outlook gives an "operation failed" error. The
only way to get it to work again is to close Outlook and open it
again.

Has anyone seen this before? It happens quite often, even on users
with new profiles.

Thanks,

- Alan.

Hi Diane,

They are new users so not many files should have built up there yet. I
can't see any pattern to the files, most are DOC files of course but
that's about it.

Thanks,

- Alan.

Are their many files in the securetemp folder? Does it happen with every
attachment type or only specific types?

Seehttp://www.slipstick.com/outlook/securetemp.htmfor more info about the
secure temp folder.
