Operating System Not Found

I have a IBM T23 laptop that has been on the shelf for several monthes. I
booted the laptop up today and am receiving a Operating System not found
error. The boot process appears to be normal up to this point... Any ideas
on what could cause this problem, or if possible do you have any suggestions
on where to go from here? I have adjusted the boot order to make sure the
PC is booting from the harddrive. The installed OS is XP pro, I don't have a
floppy drive, and only have a win 2k disk. Any suggestions on reformatting
from this cd?

You will see that it is important to recover from this problem by having the
correct Windows XP installation CD.

You may also be able to acces from BIOS or download from IBM a diagnostic
utility that will enable you to check out the system, especially the hard
drive.

Make sure it's working properly before you beg, borrow or buy an XP
installation CD and attempt to recover.
