Operating System choices at startup doesnt appear

I made a mistake by running SYS C:\ from a windows ME startup disk on my
computer which was a dual boot (ME & XP).

Now I dont have my OS options screen anymore. I am unable to get to XP by
anymeans. Everytime I switch on my machine, it by default gets into ME. Any
change in boot.ini file has no effect!

I want to get back my XP. Could you please help.

Thanks in advance.

Sekhar.

You may need to perform a repair of XP. See the following website for the
step by step instructions.

If you have your XP cd, put it in and boot up with the cd. Look for the recovery
console option and use it. Once you're in the recovery console, type fixmbr /?
for your options.
