opening word documents problem

Dr. Indera

hello,

recently when i open multiple word documents they don't open on top of each
other, each one i open, is positioned maybe 2 inches to the right of the
previous one.

i don't recall changing any settings that would cause this to happen and i
can't figure out which option i need to change to have all of the documents
open on top of each other.

i checked the cascade option on the taskbar and it is not checked.

this doesn't happen in excel or any other file type that i open. any help
would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

Have you considered posting your question in an MS Word newsgroup?

hello,

yes, i posted the question in the word newsgroup first and they suggested to
post the question here because they didn't have an answer.

hi bob,

i'm not sure what you mean by the "internal" window, but i opened several
word docs and maximized all of them, then closed them by clicking on the red
x in the upper right hand corner.
then i reopened them and they still had the cascade effect.

: Set the Word "internal" window to "Maximize".

Is the cascade effect inside the Word document area? If yes are you
using Adobe Acrobat 7.0? Either patch it up to latest, or remove it from
Word.
