Opening up to iexplore.exe.

Hey guys.
So, a couple of weeks ago I downloaded one of the Windows updates. And ever
since then, everytime I open Internet Explorer, it goes straight to the
default site 'http://files/Internet Explorer/iexplore.exe'. It's only when
I open IE, though.. if I click the home button, it goes to my previously set
homepage and it runs normally. But no matter how many times I reset the
default homepage, it won't change when I open it.
It's a nuisance, and now everytime someone sends me a link to go to on
Instant Messenger, it goes straight to that page.
It's driving me completely crazy. Can anyone help?

Run regedit and search for and delete that string, if found.

You will probably want to omit the %20 from your search term
