Opening PPT view issue/question

Michelle

Hi - I've searched this site and Microsoft but haven't come up with any
information or a solution -- possibly someone here can help me.

We have a PPT 2003 document that when we double-click it or use File | Open
to open it, it shows in the expected view (slide and notes).

When we create a hyperlink to the same PPT document, it automatically opens
in the slide show view. We want it to open from the hyperlink in the view
saved with the document -- slide and notes.

We have played with the Tools | Options | View tab | Default view setting
with no luck (it did alter how it opened when double-clicked - but had no
impact on when it was opened from a hyperlink).

Does anyone know how we can do this?
Thanks!
Michelle

Michelle,
1. Set up an action setting to run program in the following manner:
powerpnt.exe "<path>\<presentation.ppt>"
2. Click OK.
3. Run slideshow and click on the link.

<path>= Path to the presentation
<presentation.ppt>= presentation file name.

Regards,
Shyam Pillai
