..pps is PowerPoint Slideshow files.

You can e.g. install the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer to be able to view PowerPoint
97/2000/2002/2003 presentations.

As others say, they are mostly likely PowerPoint files. However this is
not guaranteed.

You are best replying to the sender of the email and asking them what
the file are and how they intended you to view them. This would hav
been the polite thing for the sender to do.

Jack: .pps files are powerpoint show files. You can google for the new
Powerpoint 2003 viewer that will open them for you
