I run Windows XP Home. I am trying to play radio station wnycfm. I click on
the appropriate link on their Website, and a file named wnycfm.pls
downloads. I try to open it using Windows Media Player version 10.0.0.3646,
but I get an error message that the player cannot open that file format.
What to do? Thank you very much.

You would need winamp or real player to listen to the streaming audio which
is what a .pls file is. It's am mp3 stream. They also give you the choice of
a windows stream. That's a .asx file. That one does play in windows media
player. if it doesn't play for you open media player and go to the tools,
options, and under file types, recheck the asf format and try again.

Thank you.

I got RealPlayer to play the *.pls file and Windows Media Player to play the
*.asx file.

Thanks a lot!
