This usually happens because something is accessing outlook data and that
something prevents outlook from closing cleanly. The usual culprit is a PDA
but other apps can cause it also.
See the list of addins listed at http://www.slipstick.com/problems/close.asp - it might give you a clue to
what is causing your problem.
What version of Outlook are you using? Are you using any sync software
for a PDA or other device? What method are you using to exit Outlook
when you're done using it?
