Opening Outlook

I have Outlook 2002 installed on my Windows ME system. For the past several
weeks, when I click on the icon to open outlook, it opens up, then
immediately closes down. When I click the icon the second time, it opens and
stays open. Any ideas as to why it won't open the first time.

I'm also having some occasional problems sending e-mail, and I'm wondering
if this is related somehow to the problem with opening Outlook.

With Outlook closed, try deleting the file outcmd.dat. I believe it's
located in C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook on a Windows ME
system. You can find it with a search if not.

It's hard to say. What error messages or other symptoms do you see then the
operation fails?
