Opening Open office word from within access application

In my application I do extracting data to a file and then call up a MS Word
document that has merge fields setup. I have some clients that want to use
Open Office instead of MS Word, do I call up Open office word any different
than MS Word.

I really have no idea and don't believe that open office is code compatible
with the same commands to execute a word merge from access. You likey need
a differnt command to fire off the merge process.

I think your best bet is to try your question in a open office group and see
what they say.
