opening new doc @ start up word 2007

I just re-installed microsoft word 2007 and was messing around with it and
added a picture file and everytime I open word this picture appears, How can
I get rid of this so I can open a new blank document everytime I open word?

Search for normal.dot
Edit it, this is the template for new documents.
 
Or, even easier -- unless you have a lot of customization in your existing
Normal.dot -- just rename it to Normal.old.

When you launch Word again, a new, default-style, Normal.dot will
automatically be created.
