The default setting with my Internet Explorer
automatically closes my current browser window when I
open a new one. How do I change the default to keep the
current window while opening a new one?

I'm having the same problem, and I got it right after
installing the Google toolbar. So I uninstalled it and it
still does the stupid closing window thingy. HEEELP!!! I
hate that

hey it's me again and I figured out what the problem there
is an option in the internet tools that does that. here is
the step by step procedure on how to fix it
1) Click on "tools"
2) click on "internet options"
3) click on the "advanced" tab
4) under "browsing" there is an option that says "Enable
third-party browser extensions (requires restart)", make
sure that the box next to it is unchecked/empty
5) hit the apply button and close everything up

at least that is how I fixed it
e-mail me and let me know if that worked for you at
(e-mail address removed)

hope that it works
