If you dont' mind and you have any one of those
messages that is not too personal,
could you send one of them to
(e-mail address removed)
so I can see if the pictures are showing here?
That way I can see if they are at least sending correctly.

Or maybe make a quick version that does not have
anything you don't mind me seeing.
(include any picture you don't mind showing of course
to make sure I can see the picture you send)

Actually, neither...I'm still a novice when it comes to creation and linking
graphics so, I'm doing it the "old-fashion" way. Once I've created and saved
them, I'm inserting then positioning them where I want them to go, saving the
whole document, then sending it as an attachment.

when she could see the text and not the graphics using 2003, it didn't even
show an "x" inside a box where the graphics would have been.

she says this is what it's saying when she tries to download the attachment:
"Invalid menu handle"

yes please and thank you

What I remember about Yahoo is it blocks attachements for instant viewing
and you have to open them manually to see the pictures.
I'm not sure about Yahoo that much now but I would think
it would do such for security reasons

If she is opening the attachements and still getting a problem
I will move to figuring that problem If I can help.

Ok,
Well good news is you are sending all just fine
so nothing wrong with your side nor Yahoo itself sending such
..
Now I am checking on what could mess up such
on her side.
Should be back within a few minutes.

You CANNOT insert any graphics in the body of a message that is composed in Outlook. That is your issue. You need to attach it to the message by using Plain Text not RTF format . Anyway you will need to attach it either by composing in Plain Text or in HTML but NOT in RTF

Her file sent to me fine and included the pics
in the attachment as a .doc file,
so it is not a problem on the sending side.
:)

Here is a part solution that might at least get her to
be able to see the files again.
You will want to help her step through this step
by step.

Have her open
My Computer
then
On the menu select.
Tools
then
Folder Options
she should see a
tab called File Types
have her click on that and have her
scroll down the list until she sees
..doc
Have her click on the DOC
and then the change button.
There should be a program called
WordPad
select it and click OK.
and OK again until only the My computer
screen is showing again.
She can then close that.
This will set the file to open in a smaller version
of Word.
Then have her try to open the attacehements.
If this works, she will at least be able to view the files
and save as needed.
Also if this works she should uninstall Office
and then Re-install it
But not until she gets all the files she needs from you
of course using the Wordpad instead for now.
Hope this helps.
If it does not there is more than just a simple
problem going on.

Thanks for your response but, its not being sent using Outlook. Its a Word
doc with inserted graphics, saves in documents, sent as attachment via
yahoo....there is nothing in the body of message but a simple, "here's those
graphics to view" statement.

Thank you very much for All your assistance spaceman....I really appreciate
it. she isn't home right now but I will walk her thru this when she gets home
and get back to you.

Thanks again

Office will run properly without activation for a while and the it will not. Hence the question from Gordon and a reply from you that does not sound that you would know

Why are you putting the images into Word?
Can't you just attach the images to an email?
