Opening Links in e-mails

A friend sent me an e-mail with a link in it. The link opens but willnot
work. It opens and DOES work on my Lap Top which is Windows XP. Any help
appreciated! It's not the firewall since I have shut it off to see if that
was the problem. Thank you

Maybe it's the popup blocker? Does it open if you hold down the Ctrl key and
click the link?
