Windows Mail

I cannot make Microsoft Outlook 2003 the default client for e-mail links.
Since new computer with Vista, WM overrides. Both options for default are
unchecked and indicate WM is not default client. And option in Outlook is
checked as default mail client. I have even reinstalled 2003 to make Vista
"see" it as an option. In default programs, Outlook does not even show up as
an option. Just WM. So every time I click on an e-mail link anywhere, WM
opens as the default e-mail window. Don't want WM at all. I can compose fine
if in Outlook. Any suggestions?

Rick, there's the rub. Outlook is not an option. It does not even appear in
the list of default programs. That's why I reinstalled Outlook, hoping the
program would "register" on my computer. I have been all though the Defaults
section but Outlook does not appear anywhere as an option.
