Opening fax properties or starting service crashes server

I'm running Windows2000 Advanced Server SP4 on a Compaq
DL380 w/ a digiboard and 16 modems connected. Everytime we
try to open the fax properties or start the service the
server crashes down. Has anybody seen this before?
