Opening email links in IE instead of Firefox

In my computer I have both IE 6 and Firefox 1.0.7 installed. IE 6 is my
default browser. But when I receive emails with links and click on them the
links open with Firefox. Does any one know how to change this behaviour?

I have even checked the Shell associations by Going to Windows Explorer
Tools->Options and File types, and they too point to iexplore.exe

As indicated in the KB article regsvr32 urlmon.dll did the trick!!

#2 or #3 should fix it. Also see Start [or Control Panel > Add/Remove
Programs] > Set Program Access and Defaults > Browser: Select IE here.
