Opening AVI file in Windows Movie Maker

I just downloaded Windows Movie Maker Winter Fun Pack... I then took video
footage from my digital camera and loaded it onto my computer. My computer
saved it as a .MOV file so i then converted the .MOV file to a .AVI file.
When I command my computer to open a project, I select "all files" at the
bottom becaues it only wants to open a .MSWMM file. What do i do? Do I have
to convert my .AVI file to a .MSWMM file? HELP PLEASE!!!
