Opening a PST file.

I am following the directions FILE>OPEN > DATA FILE > I locate my .pst file
on my C-drive. I choose the file and click OPEN. Outlooks then displays an
empty screen.
I see the file. The size of the file indicates there is data in the file.
Why wont it open? Office 2003

if that displays as empty, then it's quite possibly corrupted. Have you
tried running scanpst.exe on it?
