"Open With" Problem

When I right click to take option of 'Open With' then choose program, it
opens with Notepad. This happens with all programs. How do I get back the
file associations? Any help is appreciated.

Right click the file type you want to change, (.txt, .jpg, rtf) click on
properties. It will say "Open with" click on the change button, select the
program you want to open it with + check the "always open with this program"
box, click OK, Apply, OK.
