Open, Save prompt missing

How do you get the prompt to 'open', 'save' back once you
have unticked the box for 'always ask before opening this
type of file'. I need the option to either open or save a
pdf.

I have checked IE and Adobe settings. Checked activeX
settings and changed them all to prompt.
Tried removing file associations in windows explorer.
deleted adobe reg key on both HKCU and HKLM. Deleted reg
IE reg.
Uninstalled then reinstalled Acrobat version 6.0.

I beleive there would be a reg for this setting/option in
IE but I cant find it. This is also the case for any
other file extension you untick this box for, it just
happens to pdf's for me.

Hi Mark,

In Adobe Acrobat Edit menu, choose Preferences. Uncheck the option "Display
PDF in browser" and click OK.
