IE6 slow and hangs when launched

It seems to take forever for IE6 to connect to the web when first launched
and it hangs or freezes until the connection is made. Once the web page is
downloaded everything is fine unless I try to launch another page from the
downloaded page. Then it freezes and hangs again. Below is the hizack this

2. You're using a very old & outdated version of HijackThis.

3. When does your Symantec AntiVirus subscription expire and do you have a
Product ID?

4. What makes you suspect that hijackware is causing the problems? (I'm not
saying it isn't, just asking.)

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use (in
conjunction with some other utilities). HijackThis will NOT fix anything on
its own, but it will help you to both identify and remove any
hijackware/spyware with assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

http://aumha.net/viewforum.php?f=30, or another appropriate forum for review
by an expert in such matters, not here.**

Hello,

Try running IE with add-ons disabled

Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced (tab) > UNCHECK "Enable
third-party browser extensions" > OK

Run IE6 now.

If it works now, one of your add-ons is causing the problem. Start Internet
Explorer as normal, Tools, Manage Add-ons, Enable or Disable Add-ons.

Disable all the add-ons. Enable back third-party browser extensions in
Internet
Options.

Restart your browser and enable the add-ons one by one till the problem
appears and you get the culprit.

Well I can try to help but I need some information. What virus software do
you have installed? What if any malware/spyware programs do you have
installed? Are you up to date on all your Windows updates? Now try two
things for now: go to www.cccleaner.com and download this free cleaning
utility. On the Windows tab click analyze. This will show you how much
unnescary files it can clean off. hit run cleaner. Next go to
www.microsoft.com and go to the download center. Download the Malicious
software removal tool and install it. Run a full scan. It will take about
an hour and one half to two but it will let you know if you have any
malicious software on your computer. Both these options are free! get back
to me on the questions I asked you and let me know if these two suggestions
helped so I can improve my services

It seems to take forever for IE6 to connect to the web when first launched
and it hangs or freezes until the connection is made. Once the web page is

Well I can try to help but I need some information. What virus software
do
you have installed? What if any malware/spyware programs do you have
installed? Are you up to date on all your Windows updates? Now try two
things for now: go to www.cccleaner.com and download this free cleaning
utility. On the Windows tab click analyze. This will show you how much
unnescary files it can clean off. hit run cleaner. Next go to
www.microsoft.com and go to the download center. Download the Malicious
software removal tool and install it. Run a full scan. It will take
about
an hour and one half to two but it will let you know if you have any
malicious software on your computer. Both these options are free! get
back
to me on the questions I asked you and let me know if these two
suggestions
