Open/Save Dialog Box

Can some "EXPERT" tell me why the FOLDERS/DRIVES on the left side of my
Open/Save Dialog Box/Window keeps 'defaulting' or resetting back to other
settings not of my choosing even tho I have changed the Registry to what I
want @:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\comdlg32\Placesbar"???

I've used 2 different 'programs' to do/change these settings to what I want
& they don't KEEP it changed either no more than my resetting the Registry
manually with a .reg file. Suspect "comdlg32.dll" file in Win\system32
folder may have something to do with all this, but don't know how to
manipulate it???

If any of you 'hackers' have been down this road, would appreciate a clue???

There are lots of "experts" here, but very few MS people. When we
volunteers don't know the answer we usually don't answer. Sometimes we just
don't know, sometimes the problem description is too vague to answer.

Why do you suspect comdlg32.dll?

Got it wired/figured out & fixed all on my own - - - - goes to show who the
real "experts" are!!!
