open or save file popup window ?

when i I try to download certain zip file from thesimsresource prompt box
pops up and ask whether I'd like to open the file, or save it to disk.

this only happens when i try to download the lots, all other zip files go
straight to winzip. if i click the open file then it downloads and opens the
winzip application to unzip file. is there something i need to do in ie to
fix this.

i am running xp sp2 with all updates.

All .zip files should behave the same.
If you want the open/save message, then....

You set this for each file type, e.g. for .zip
Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types
Find the .zip association (may be WinZip File)
Edit, (or click Advanced on ME or XP) and check the "Confirm open
after download" box

The path to Folder Options may vary according to your operating
system. It may be:
Explorer-View-Folder Options
Explorer-Tools-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Folder Options
Start-Settings-Control Panel-Folder options.

thats what i thought but for some reason i get the message on only the
certain downloads, i do have the confirm open unchecked

I can only think there must be some difference in the file type.
Are you sure they are all .zip extension?
Can you supply the URL of one that gives a message while confirm open
is unchecked?

as you need to be a member they do have free membership and it only happens
when i download the lots. not any other downloads and not at any other

as i said it only happens with this.
