Open in New Window and Pop Up windows dont work

Hi
i am running ie6 (Version 6.0.2800.1106IS) under windows ME and i have
installed SP1. I am also running McAfee Virusscan and pop up windows in
internet explorer are not working (like when a web page wants to open
something up in a smaller box) also when you right click and select open in
new window nothing happens. Im not sure if its related but the clickable
grey buttons in IE are not working either (such as 'submit' on forms) can
anyone help as this is driving me nuts, ive tried looking for updates or
solutions on the knowledge base all day but stiil have problem

McAfee is probably blocking scripts.
